Hand Me The Idea
I run Build and Bail — 30+ shipped projects, most of them ridiculous, some of them profitable. If you’ve got an idea stuck in your head, I can either teach you how to ship it yourself or build it for you in a weekend.
Free Fit Check
Quick 15-minute call to see if we’re a fit. No pitch, no payment. Bring:
- A one-line description of your idea
- Where you’re stuck or what you’re trying to figure out
If we’re a fit, I’ll point you to the right next step. If we’re not, I’ll tell you that too and suggest where to look instead.
Planning Call
60-minute working call to plan your build end-to-end. You leave with:
- A tech stack tuned to your idea
- A scoped v1 with clear in-scope and out-of-scope features
- The exact Claude planning prompt sequence to run yourself
- A recording and written summary delivered within 24 hours
Who this is for
You probably fit if:
- You have an idea you’ve been sitting on for months (or years) and can’t seem to ship
- You’re a non-developer who’s tried building with AI and gotten stuck somewhere between “great idea” and “actually working app”
- You’ve shipped before but don’t want to spend another weekend on this one
- You want a real working v1, not a wireframe or a Figma file or a strategy document
If you want a 6-month engagement, a retainer, or someone to “be your CTO” — that’s not me. I plan and ship fast, then move on.
What I do
I run brands — Build and Bail, White Knuckle Golf, Ocean Devoted, Path of the Beam, Desmond Vance. I’ve shipped 30+ projects in the last few years, mostly using Claude and Claude Code to compress what used to be weeks of work into weekends.
The process is straightforward:
- Plan the build in a 30-minute Claude conversation — every rule, edge case, and scope decision gets locked in before any code gets written
- Generate a prompt sequence for Claude Code — usually 8-12 prompts, executed one at a time
- Ship the v1, then iterate — most projects launch in a weekend
I’ll do that planning and shipping for you, or teach you how to do it yourself.

Build Planning Call — 60 min · $149
Working call to plan your build end-to-end. You leave with:
- A locked-in tech stack tuned to your idea
- A scoped v1 with clear in-scope and out-of-scope features
- The exact Claude planning prompt sequence to run yourself
- A recording and written summary delivered within 24 hours
Same process I use for every Build and Bail project. After the call, you can either build it yourself or hand it off to me.
$149 credited toward any DFY engagement booked within 14 days.
What I won’t build
Worth being honest about this so we don’t waste each other’s time:
- Anything that requires deep regulatory compliance (HIPAA, FedRAMP, etc.)
- Anything that needs custom mobile apps (I’m web-only)
- Anything that’s just a clone of an existing product with no twist
- Anything where the founder doesn’t actually understand the problem they’re solving
- Crypto, gambling, MLM, or anything in the dark patterns lane
If your idea falls in one of these categories, I’ll tell you on the fit check and point you somewhere useful.
Recent builds
A few of the things I’ve shipped — these are all real projects you can poke at:
- WhoStat — daily sports trivia game, listed on Flippa
- Emergency Pants — pants delivery service that probably shouldn’t exist
- White Knuckle Golf — laser-engraved ball markers
- Tug of War Calculator — tells you how many kids you could beat in a tug of war
- Build and Bail itself — this blog, podcast, and content brand
Each one is documented end-to-end on the blog — what worked, what didn’t, what I’d do differently.
How the work actually goes
Just to set expectations:
- Communication: Email + one shared Notion doc. No Slack channels, no daily standups.
- Calls: One planning call up front, one launch call at the end. Async between.
- Code: I write or pair with Claude Code on everything. You’ll see the commits.
- Hosting: I deploy to your accounts (Cloudflare, Stripe, Supabase) so you own everything from day one.
- Payment: 50% deposit to start, 50% on delivery. The $149 planning call gets credited.
- Timeline: Most weekend builds wrap in 7–10 days from kickoff. Larger scopes get quoted with realistic dates.
No retainers. No “ongoing maintenance” trap. Build it, ship it, move on.
FAQ
Do I need a startup idea to work with you?
No. Some people come with a fully formed business idea. Some come with a problem they want to automate. Some come with a side project they want to finish. All fine.
Will you sign an NDA?
Yes, mutual NDA is fine. I’m not going to steal your idea — I have a list of 100 of my own I can’t get to. But I’ll sign it if it makes you comfortable.
Do you take equity instead of cash?
No.
What if my idea needs something outside the stack you usually use?
Tell me on the fit check. I’ll be honest about whether I can help or not. I’d rather refer you elsewhere than fake it.
How fast can you start?
Usually within a week of the planning call. Sometimes faster if a slot opens up.
What if I don’t like what you build?
The weekend build comes with two weeks of post-launch support — if there’s a bug or something doesn’t match the plan, I fix it. If you just don’t like the idea anymore, that’s not my fault, but I’ll still hand off everything cleanly.
How do I know if you’re real / not a scam?
Fair question. Every project on the blog has a public URL you can visit. The brand is real. The work is real. Book the free fit check if you want to verify before paying.
