Monday Momentum: “The idea isn’t good enough yet”

It won’t be. That’s not how it works.

The trap:

  • Polishing an idea in your head feels like progress
  • It isn’t
  • A bad idea you shipped beats a perfect idea you didn’t

Receipt:

  • Emergency Pants is a fake on-demand pants delivery service
  • It is, objectively, a worse idea than yours
  • It exists. It has a landing page. It’s in my portfolio.
  • It taught me more than three “good” ideas I never built

What “not good enough” actually means:

  • You haven’t tested it on a real person
  • The first version isn’t supposed to be good — it’s supposed to exist
  • Bad ideas die fast and cheap. That’s the feature, not the bug.

The move this week:

  • Ship the worst version of your idea before Friday
  • One page. One promise. One way to contact you.
  • Let it be embarrassing. That’s how you find out what it actually needs.
